Lake Manawa State Park

The day after I bought my mountain bike, I was at Manawa to check out the trails. I was hooked!

The trails at Lake Manawa will always have a place in my heart. This is where I learned the joy of the singletrack.

Check the trail map posted on the kiosk.  Trails are coded like ski trails:  green - easy, blue - intermediate, and black - advanced.

Following are the photos were taken the first time I brought a camera to the Lake Manawa singletrack.

Within a month, I was riding on the "blue" trails.  Major accomplishment - first time I rode over a small log!  More leaves on the trees. My first mountain bike group ride.
