Council Bluffs/Omaha
Trails
|
|

|
When talking with friends around the country,
they cannot fathom "mountain biking" in
the Council Bluffs/Omaha area. The "flat
lands" of the heartland offer some great mountain
bike trails.
Many of the trails in the area are maintained
by T.H.O.R.
(Trails Have Our Respect). Check out the T.H.O.R.
site for trail details, directions, and maps.

I would classify this trail a real rollercoaster.

During
a trip to my army reunion, the tried some mountain
bike trails. I was checking out trails in Steamboat Springs,
Estes Park, and Laramie.
The first
thing I can say is that trail difficulty levels
are higher than at home. A "easy"
trail in the Rockies would be "moderate"
in the heartland,
