Arriving in Albuquerque, I found my motel and checked in. My cousin Don picked me up for dinner. Don is a Albuquerque resident. We made plans for a bike ride in the next morning. See my page of Albuquerque trail photos. After the morning bike ride and breakfast at Village Inn, it was off for a walking tour of Old Town Albuquerque. The Albuquerque Botanic Park was a short walk from my hotel. Since the ski slope trails were not open, I checked it out. Click HERE for photos of the park. I also took a drive to the other side of the mountain the check out the ski slope area and drive up to the crest. Nice view, looking over the Albuquerque area valley. Friday My cousin Don introduced me ti his canoeing friend and real estate agent. He gave me a good idea of the Abuquerque market. From there, we went to the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science. That museum had a very interesting exhibit about the history if the computer and the part played by Albuquerque. After that, I said my "good-bye" to my cousin and went to Rio Rancho to visit with a fraternity brother and his wife. Enjoyed the dinner and conversation. Sat on the patio after dinner - beautiful evening. A fitting end of an awesome trip.
